Who we are

Project Playground e.V. is a registered association (Verein) in Germany. For questions about your data, write to us at admin@project-playground.de.

What we collect

When you register for the Mongolia group flight, we collect:

• Your name (as in passport)
• Your email address
• Passport number, issuing country, date of expiry
• Date of birth
• Sex (as required for airline ticketing)
• Flight preferences (Priority 1 and Priority 2)
• Payment status and method

Why we collect it

We collect this information to:

• Register you on the group flight with MIAT (Mongolian Airlines)
• Coordinate the group trip logistics
• Send you booking confirmations and updates

The legal basis is the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in coordinating a group trip (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Who we share it with

MIAT (Mongolian Airlines) — your passport details and personal information are shared with MIAT solely for the purpose of issuing your airline ticket. MIAT processes this data under its own privacy policy.

We do not share your data with any other third parties, run no advertising, and have no analytics or tracking on this site.

Where we store it

Your data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted on Vercel (Neon) infrastructure in the European Union. Email delivery is handled by Resend, a GDPR-compliant provider.

How long we keep it

We retain your registration data for the duration of the trip coordination (until the trip concludes in September 2026) and for any legal or accounting obligations thereafter (typically up to 10 years under German law). After this period, your data will be deleted.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access a copy of the data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (where legally possible)
• Object to processing or request restriction
• Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passport numbers are stored encrypted at rest and are not displayed in the admin interface. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
